OVERVIEW
The business in question is a global technology company with over 200,000 employees. The company’s learning and development program for MegaTech was previously fragmented and siloed, with employees often needing help finding the training they needed.
CHALLENGES
- Training Overload: Employees received training from various sources, leading to information overload and confusion. Employees spent an average of 20% of their workweek searching for and gathering information from various sources. This information overload resulted in significant time wastage and decreased productivity.

Michael recognized the need to provide employees with structured and personalized learning experiences. He sought instructional design firms’ expertise, including Equitable Breakthrough Solutions employees, to design comprehensive learning pathways.

MegaTech worked with several instructional design firms to develop its custom learning pathways, including staff from Equitable Breakthrough Solutions. We used a variety of learning technologies, including eLearning, mobile learning, virtual instructor-led training, and social learning. We also worked with MegaTech to plug the courses into a learning management system (LMS) to house the custom learning pathways.
RESULTS
Employees have reported that the custom learning pathways are more engaging and relevant than the previous training. They have also said they are more likely to complete the training and apply the acquired knowledge.
MegaTech has also significantly increased employee engagement since implementing the new program. Employees are more satisfied with their jobs and are more likely to stay with the company.
